Angular/TypeScript Frontend Engineer

Angular/TypeScript Frontend Engineer at SciFlow - Remote in Germany (All Genders Welcome)

SciFlow is a Berlin-based startup that helps researchers and publishers create and share their work. Our Authoring Platform (including Angular 16 and TypeScript) supports researchers in writing their research or students finishing their Ph.D. theses worldwide. Publishers rely on SciFlow to automatically produce their publications.

Join us to amplify our frontend capabilities. You are directly working with our CTO so that you will instantly impact the look and feel of the SciFlow Web app. You'll improve our text editor, add new functionality, and work on UIs that help researchers organize their publications.

We are an experienced, tuned-in team that can help you grow and bring your skills to the next level. We are primarily remote, with ad-hoc coworking in Berlin (Schöneberg).

Our expectations of you

  • You already have at least three years of experience with modern web frameworks (Angular is a big plus) and TypeScript.

  • You have completed a computer science-related degree or training course and practical experience in the respective technologies.

  • You would love to work in an international and distributed startup (German is not required).

What you can expect

  • Our startup has grown organically since 2016, and we plan to do so in the future. Our team values an agile work environment, quick decision-making and direct communication.

  • We prioritize collaboration and straightforward communication. Our emphasis is on achieving our objectives and listening to everyone.

  • We provide a work environment that respects individual preferences and recognizes the significance of accommodating diverse schedules. Our focus is on the impact of our work rather than the specific timing and location.

  • We encourage a forward-thinking Frontend Engineer to proactively explore our varied tech stack, encompassing Angular 16, TypeScript, GraphQL APIs, and Kubernetes orchestration via Knative.

Join us:

Start date: November 2023
